The Zonta International Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship program was established to encourage women business students to seek leadership and executive positions in the field of business management as well as other business-related fields.

The Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship is awarded at the club, district and international levels. Each year, Zonta International offers scholarships of US$1,000 each at the district level and twelve international scholarships in the amount of US$7,000 each. Any woman undertaking a business and/or business-related program in at least the second year of an undergraduate program through the final year of a Master’s Program at the time the application is submitted is eligible to apply. The Zonta Club of Ottawa will provide a $500 scholarship in May 2015 to a woman of outstanding potential who is pursuing business studies at a university in the Ottawa region. The club winner’s application will then be forwarded to the district competition. The district evaluating committee selects one applicant to submit to the Zonta International competition.
